The Silver Frieze Ring is a D shaped band ring with intricate detailing and an oxidised finish. The ring is made from 925 Sterling Silver and is hallmarked by the verifying its quality.
The Frieze Ring is inspired by the Ancient Seven Wonder, the Temple of Artemis. The Greek temple was dedicated to Artemis, goddess of the hunt, the wilderness and nature. Sitting above the pillars of the temple is a frieze, a decorative technique that was hugely popular in Ancient Greek architecture. The frieze depicted on this ring is actually from the Parthenon, a building created by the infamous sculptor, Phidias, the man responsible for sculpting the Statue of Zeus. Every year the Athenians held a procession in honour of their patron, Goddess Athena. An example of this tradition is depicted on the Frieze Ring which is oxidised for a vintage finish, and to highlight the detailing within the design.
The Silver Frieze Ring is available in 6 sizes so can be worn on your choice of finger. It is a highly detailed ring that can be worn alone for a statement piece, or layer with for a variation in shape and added stone detailing.
